This is the better one, Laine. Strong light contrast and the lines of the composition hold the eye. Your other photo is not as compelling because it doesn't have a focal point, at least that I can see.
I can imagine the sound of this surf crashing against the rocks and the mist rising... love the beautiful aqua of the sea! Wonderful detail in those rocks...
Hmmm I prefer this one to today's PaD! Your b&w treament helps emphasize the power of thewaves against those magnificent rocks.
It is a clean and pure image.
