Passionfruit Flower

The long and hot dry summer caused the passionfruit to flower and fruit late in the year....it is loaded with both right now since the flooding rains and odd showers over April. Sadly though they will not ripen well and this mouthwatering crop will come to nothing since our winter days are not warm enough.

Always so cool looking. They draw too many wasps, here. I don't have them in my garden. V

A beautiful flower, the seasonal changes are to drastic I'd say. A fine shot, Laine. V

Beautiful macro, though. The blurring of the seasons affects so many plants.

Sad to think that the crop won't ripen in time... it is a lovely bloom.

They are striking flowers, Laine. Pity about the fruit.
