Oh, this is wonderful and brings back memories...I used to use my mum's a lot when I was little...not always for sewing but sometimes for making pretend postage stamps!!

My Grandma had one just like this, and I learnt to sew on it, was a lot slower than the electric one I bought myself years later..

My nana had one of these as she did a lot of sewing work for people. Many of these turn up as pub tables in the UK!

When I was at school we had a couple of these Trundler Singers to practice on. They were so easy and 'simpler' to use than the electric sewing machines.
