Red Love

I bought this hand towel for Australia Day...backyard bbq's are the go. However the east coast suffered cyclonic weather and we were flooded, beaches were washed away and electricity was wiped out for days...the state government then decided to make another date so this Sat has been selected...guess what, high tides have washed beaches away, there is flooding in many of the towns that were flooded before and we have been told to expect lots of rain tomorrow...so what to do with the paper towel ??

How awful for you Laine, to have one day lost but two as well is shocking...

So very sorry for all the flooding, destruction, and disappointment. Hope it reverses soon. The towel makes a great statement and colorful!

Looks like a pretty absorbent paper towel from the texture... how much rain do you think you'll be able to mop up with it?
Sorry, couldn't resist.
There doesn't seem to have been as much wind or rain as forecast down here today, hopefully it's the same up your way.

That's nice just to look at, Laine. Thanks for sharing the picture of them. Sorry you're having more flooding. Hope the rain stops for you soon.

Oh dear - more floodings - sorry. It was 2 years yesterday since Christchurch had its BIG earthquake where many were killed. And yesterday they had 2 more big jolts - nothing has settled down there either.
what to do with the paper towel? I thought it was loo paper at first!!

Australia will remain a great country despite the weather but the tragedy and destruction must be so hard to bear.
Faye White22-Feb-2013 22:19
Me too!
Colin Storey22-Feb-2013 22:14
Great details and textures. You are having a terrible time with the weather, sounds like being here, only more extreme. :-(
Karen Stuebing22-Feb-2013 22:13
It made a great photo. I like the composition with the edge trailing away. And nice colors. Maybe they'll postpone the holiday again? Stay dry.
