On 1/1/10 one of our baby twin granddaughters became very ill. She was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia within 3 hours of arrival at the hospital.
Our family are in shock but we are coping with all we need to face as best we can. I think how fast she went from appearing as a healthy baby to one in severe danger is what we are finding the most difficult.
Emily has a very long battle to face, which hardly seems right for an innocent infant, but that is the lot she has been given.
I have had no inclination to post on here the past 6 days as I’m sure you will understand my reasons for abstaining.
The family is foremost on my mind so therefore postings will be only as time allows.
Yesterday 5/1/10 we celebrated the twins 1st birthday in Oncology Ward at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Brisbane & with the help of the amazing staff we were able to give our girls the most important thing we can give….love & support
Good luck with the rest of the month & please understand I will not be able to return comments at this time
