day of dust

Today we choked on dust, from Brisbane down to Sydney, over 700km in distance.
Here our local rural fire brigades are on standby as high temperatures & dry conditions
force early total fire bans throughout the state. Many flights cancelled while towns out west watched 75,000 tons of top soil per hour carry out to the Tasman Sea.
I took this after leaving a meeting at lunchtime....a horrible day

Yes... I heard on the news about this. What a mess, and dangerous, particularly for those with respiratory problems. Have experienced one dust storm since living in Texas.

Wow, what a lot of top soil being blown away; one never realizes such things until it hits us in the face like your commentary did. Not good for your husband's lungs, either.
