Good work! I do have one suggestion, if you don't mind. Were it my image, I think I'd clone out the little black blob on the lower left corner. Just a thought! :-)

Great macro Laine....
Buz Kiefer16-Oct-2005 13:27
Both are very nice. Hard to choose. Good contrast and use of light. Don't know but maybe I'll go with the bottom one.

Love this! Great comp, DOF and tones. I have to try b/w straight out of the camera, didn't think it could look this good. Vote.

The color and perspective looks so sinister - great shot.

Great shot! I like them both (I commented the other one first). Shadows are good on both, on this one I especially like light and shadows (or reflection?) ON the thing.
Gayle P. Clement15-Oct-2005 14:27
Very well done. I especially like the lower one.

EDITH RB15-Oct-2005 09:25
Both are great shots in black and white color Laine and you've got the best composition to get the shiny reflectioins of the metals and the dof.. :o)
Zak15-Oct-2005 09:24
cool pic!
Karen Stuebing15-Oct-2005 09:16
Great dof and shininess to the metal. Interesting combination of shapes. Love the b/w. For me, the camera's b/w mode works infinitely better than any PS conversion I can do. :)

Johnny JAG15-Oct-2005 08:03
