Another of those trees that raise eyebrows. The Morton Bay Fig is one to grow as far away from
the house foundations as possible & this shows you why.
Framing is the only change as I took it in B&W & was hand held.

that is amazing!!
I would like to use my ultra-wide-angle lens to take a shot from the bottom of
that tree looking up, too.
Beautiful shot, laine.

What a great tree to climb or build a tree house on. The weeping willow also has quite the distructive root system.

Wow, this is a great-great-grandpa of a tree. It could have been used in the making of Lord of the Rings, if it was filmed in Australia.
Well done!!!!

Thanks for the look...

Wonderful old tree Laine...notice how some of the roots are missing - a mere human must have decided the poor tree didn't need roots the whole way around. We used to
love to play on the roots when we were children. If you've never seen one, they are
massive - probably taking up most of a quarter acre in width & height.

Wow...what a neat tree! The cars in the background really
work to show the enormousness.

Impresive tree. We have one very similar in San Diego. I'll get a picture one of these days.

I love these trees! They have amazing root systems and beautiful large shapely branches. Nice image here with great tones, very well captured Laine! BTW, it's raining again!

Wonderful old tree! I agree with Karen, it looks made for climbing.
Carmen20-Oct-2004 23:09
Still a beautiful tree. I love your composition in this; you captured very well the flowing look of the roots and branches.

Enormous root structure! Holy smokes! What a great climbing tree. Love this, Laine!
