"Xanthina spontanea".
Many years ago on a trip to England I visited Wisley a very famous English garden. My eldest sister fell in love with this rose and I bought her a small plant that grew and flourished and in her garden until the day she died 12 years ago. Eight years ago I managed to find this rose in a catalogue and bought one to plant in my garden to remind me of my sister. It blooms early and is covered with beautiful bright yellow blossoms for a few weeks in May. This year it is lovely and a constant delight with its wonderful scent and masses of bloom.
