The Lenawee County Fairgrounds is located in Adrian, Michigan. The day after the fair closed in August 2004 I began visiting the fairgrounds weekly for one year to document the personality of the fairgrounds as the seasons changed. The Lenawee County Fairgrounds is the oldest in Michigan and at least in my opinion has a lot of character. I still consider this a work in progress but I don’t go on a weekly basis anymore
As a former 4-h member i would like to say you did an awesome job on these pictures. All these are memories that i have seen. I used to show animals at the lenawee county fairgrounds and let me tell ya, you have shot somethings that i thought nobody else would be interested in.to tell the truth all those things are what the lenawee fair is all about. I think that you should try this year going to the fair in the mornings, there is where all the joy begins.. Hearing the animals. A good shot would be of a animal getting fed in the morning and usually the first day like the sunday of the fair they have a parade by the mill and then the sheep have a class called lead class that is where the sheep and the 4-her is dressed in all wool clothing. There would be some pretty good pictures.. Then sometimes the goats have a contests like milking a goat and dressing a goat.Theres even pee-wee classes where 5 year olds go and show sheep and goats. I used to show them when i was 5 all the way to 18 years old...
