The 2009 Purple Stride fundraiser for pancreatic cancer research. My son Evan collected donations from friends and family members for the day of the walk. Our participation was in memory of my mother-in-law Joan, who died of pancreatic cancer.
Events like these have a desk where survivors can register and get a special pin or hat. At a breast cancer event that we went to, the survivor desk was mobbed. At this pancreatic cancer event, we saw only one person at the survivor desk. Donate to research.
