For Uncle Tony or anyone else interested - Boat finally done and in water!

Uncle Tony, Here it is. We've been out every weekend and couple weekdays so far. The layout on the deck is the best of what I looked at: 43 gal insulated fish box, three lockable rod boxes capable of holding total of 15 rod/reel combos (another 8 in rodholders in gunnel and console). forward live/bait well with auto or manual recir and airate pumps (auto on 5 minute timers) dual/single rear live/bait well with auto/man recirc/airate. rear jump seats with storage underneath, all stainless hardware throughout, hyd steering with tilt, power tilt and trim, onboard dualbank charger. I went the e-tech route since dealer for this boat wasn't merc dealer - only evindrude or suz (I wanted 2 -stroke). I listened to what you said about the merc, but don't think I could have went wrong either way. so far the e-tech has ran flawlessly and fuel is better than I had ever hoped for. 12 hours on sat and about 8 on sunday. at least 60-75 miles total running and only burned half a tank! He didn't prop it exactly as I wanted, however it gets on plane in about 2 seconds and I am seeing 55mph on GPS. Gauge is showing a tad over 60. this is with 60 gals of fuel, 4 adults, and 3 livewells filled up so I guess it's propped pretty good :-) When a I change over to a stainless it should pickup a few more mph with the same pitch since it won't flex at all under load. I've also included a couple of shots of the electronics I ended up going with. I didn't go with the side imaging I was telling you about. this unit was about the same price and offered alot in expandability as well as a larger screen. Lowrance has a little better reputation than humminbird too....the minnkota is totally awesome and I am glad I went ahead with it. it comes with a remote that looks like a remote for your car. it has several clips you can mount to your fishing poles. once setup, you can control the boat from anywhere on deck while fishing. it has an internal compass which you can engage to keep the boat on a certain course. you can make on the fly adjustments while in auto pilot or take control back over and steer the boat around from anywhere. this worked great while trolling in the channels and getting lures out of trees and brush :-) Dan if you are looking and like to fish, call me!! would love to have you come along with us :-)
