was in Keflavik 1990-1991. Great memories. I joined the Icelandic 4 wheel club. Great people but very expensive . Work munition supply 57th FIS. Very windy but you didn't wait for a calm day to travel. They called it highway one. But they did maintain that dirt pretty well. Drink water from the streams. You can't do that in the U.S. I wouldn't trade that tour for anything.

Was in Keflavik Dec 85 Dec 86, I was in Air Force Communciations, in charge of all COMSEC in Iceland. Great assignment.

Ken, I was USN RM at H-2 for 6 months 69-70'ish then spent another 6 at Rockville.
I really miss H-2. The air was the most perfect in the world! I'd go back and live there
if I could, too old, too tire. Good Luck to you Mate!

I was in Keflavik, Iceland Nov '66 through Nov '67. I was in Naval Communications. I also spent 2 weeks near the Arctic Circle training climbers so they could stay in touch with the outside world. At our house in AZ., I have two framed reminders of my time in Iceland. One is called Icelandic Domain "Bless" and the other one is "Realm of the Arctic Circle." I am very proud of both of them. Thanks for the pictures.

was in Keflavik 1969-1970. Now I am an artist living in the Pacific Northwest USA. Maritime art. Great images of Keflavik. Is there a woman there named DUNA? Tell her to call me! Rockville is gone, however, the spirits live on.
