Sal's Log ~ April 6, 2011

Sal goes to the airport to take his first flight as a co-pilot in training.
Unfortunately, President Obama was in the vicinity and all flights were restricted to a 50 mile radius of the Presidental No Flight Zone.

While we were inside the airport we learned that a pilot who took off before checking on flight restrictions was being searched for in the air and would be getting an escort from two jets to the nearest airport.

Sal handled his disappointment well, but we still looked around at the helicopter and then we found the pilot of the plane Sal will be flying next Wednesday.
He let him sit inside the plane and taught him a little bit about the plane.
He was very excited.
