Haiku is simply sentences that are divided into 5 syllables, 7 syllables and then 5. Entirely 17 syllables. Japanese Haiku is composed of 17 sound units divided into three parts and it is written on one line. English Haiku separates into 3 lines to divide the haiku. The line breaks act as a type of punctuation. German Haiku is avaibable to find online and in fact, there are many German Haiku Poets who have won awards!
