You did very well!! This has a delicious mix of tones and textures, which are essential for good B&W. A very classic "old" feel to this one. Love it -- angela :)

I don't think this would be nice in color. The B&W (or maybe sephia) changes everything!

Don't sell yourself short. Good exposure and tonal range on this one.
I once read a "seeing" assignment that went something like this:
Start from the first postition that occurs to you. Make an exposure. Move-in half the distance, make an exposure. Repeat until you are on top of the thing.
Go back to your original position. Get on your knees. Repeat the previous drill.
Go back to your orignial position. Get on your belly. Repeat.
Pick another starting position. Repeat all.
Stop when you just can't stand it any more, or when you have an epiphany and are lofted into creative nirvana. (Ok, so I made that last part up, but you get the point?)
