Your mono shots are frequently infused with a sense of something that has just happened, or is about to happen. This is no exception. A strong image. VV

The format is classic for the scene, the lens is so sharp for excellent details in good light! v.

Still got all its wheels, that's a plus! A fascinating composition Karen, quite gritty. v

An urban eyesore but a great photogenic subject for your skills.

I believe these carts take trips on their own. Often found swimming in rivers too...
globalgadabout17-Jan-2013 04:11
dense with patterns, particularly cart and rimous bricks...resonant and gritty scene..

Great array of textures. The buggy somehow feels out of place waiting to continue its journey elsewhere. "V"

Nicely seen & photographed. The cart is in good condition, so to me it seems to
be waiting to continue it's journey. V

Wow, this is really good. So stark. So many different textures and surfaces on what seems like a whole frame full of rectangles. V

Such a wealth of texture here! It seems so out of place in that alley, it makes me wonder how it got there. Beautiful capture, Karen. V.

This is such a picture perfect scene, Karen, the kind that's seen in photography books. Love it! \/

Excellent photo Karen. Love how you've perfectly lined up the brick and pavers on both sides of the image. This cart may be a homeless person's means of survival..

I hope its home is nearby. I can't believe the number of people who wheel those things home then just dump them.
Still, it made for a good shot. It's not a full on "grunge" environment, but the harsh metal of the trolley itself, and the seeming abandonment of it fit in with the rough looking wall (particularly the wood panel) and the door with the peeling paint. It definitely has an "inner urban" feel to it.
