Progressive Lenses

West Virginia

The transition here is the lens in the glasses. There are three zones. One for seeing distance, one for mid range and one for reading. I have no idea why I used a Time Zero box to show the lens at work except it was there. :)

I have had these glasses for a year and I do not like them and have never adapted to them but I am too cheap to buy new ones.

For the September challenge - Transitions. Other transitions can be seen here.

Whenever I see someone with glasses reading something close and their chins are up, I know why. Great subject for the challenge. V

looking through glasses (lenses) is being always in a personal transition mode
well seen

..they are expensive too! Your eyes need to adapt too..a transition! Vote for the idea!

They can be tricky, but I agree about only having two zones. I have to wear mine higher so I can focus on the small stuff! Great idea!

A very nice example for your transition lenses. V

I feel your pain. I have bi-focals....hate them. But, you gotta be able to see!

well I also got transition lenses that change your glasses into sunglasses... good idea here..

I had them and didn't like them either.. I opted to just go with bifocals and got a midrange pair for the computer only.. great thinking for the challenge

I like your choice for transition. Very clever. V

This is a transition I recognize. I got progressive glasses a few months ago and I cannot seem to get adjusted to them. I keep going back to bifocals and a pair of lower power reading glasses for the computer. Excellent photograph and idea.

Interesting solution.

I bought some full readers to replace my lost (3 zone) progressive pair and can't make the switch.
I like your choice in using glasses for this challenge.

They could be mine...I've worn them for years and love them :))

Progressive lenses are also a transition away from the hard dividing line of bifocals. And they are not cheap so that is a transition away from affordable eyewear. Excellent concept for the challenge. V

Beautiful! V.

similar, 2 zones and I am doing great.

I have had transition lens in my glasses for many years now and I love them. But I only have 2 zones - distance and reading. You extra mid range may be the problem.
Good idea for the challenge
