At approximately 1650 hours a freighter lost steering(as heard) and ran aground as it started to exit Vancouver Harbour.
Later that evening when the tide rose and with assistance from eight tugs the vessel was pulled clear.
Vessel traffic in and out of Vanouver was back to normal.
