DIME stands for Digital Imaging Europe.
I met Hiroi; the product Technical Manager, and Nogami; the vice president at Sony World Photography Awards gala on 19th January 2010.
I told Nogami about my problem with the grip of Sony Alpha A900. After waiting for a very long time for Sony A900, I hold the camera for the first time in October 2008. By my surprise, I found the grip was bigger than the grip of Minolta Dynax 7, my current film camera. As a result barely I was able to grab the new camera in my hand, although my fingers were not able to hold it completely.
Also, I told Nogami and Hiroi about my meeting with the Sony Europe representative, Eric Billette at 'Focus on Imaging 2009' in NEC Birmingham.
I mentioned my disappointment of the big grip of Sony A900 to Eric.
I remember one of his colleague at Sony stand at 'Focus on Imaging 2009', told me, most of users of Sony A900 were men with bigger hands rather than women with smaller hands!
What a chauvinist statement!
Eric promised me to deal with my issue and tell the Sony in Japan about my concern.
