This gallery is a collection of birds found in Singapore as opposed to Birds of Singapore. Being a very urbanised city with very little natural habitats for wildlife, we are however fortunate to have those who have made our city its home and a location which is probably in its migration route. Apart from the migrating waders found in large numbers at the Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve, some of our urban gardens play host to migrating birds. A good example was the Ruddy Kingfisher (rare) which made a brief stopover at the Chinese Garden in 2007. Nevertheless, the most common migrant that visits our shore is aptly named the Common Kingfisher.
