Swimming in secluded ponds

Suffolk UK

There are more ponds in the countryside in suffolk than anywhere else in the UK
Blue and I love swimming in them - unfortunately you get home smelling of pond!
This one is a particular favorite - trees all around, and a muddy bank which is only accessible from one place.
This shot was taken up to my waist in water - with the mud and sticks oozing around my toes!

have just been comparing other photographers takes on Suffolk and this is first pic I am jealous of! Love swimming and photography and, infuriatingly started a book about 'wild' swims all over UK but can't remember the title to get it...se you in or next to some pond!

Nice, but it would be better with Blue making a great big splash. - Warren :-)

I love this, it gets across a sense of the magic and mystery of your environment. In fact it reminds me of that Edward Curtis shot with the man standing by a hidden pool. Like his picture, one can almost see faces and creatures hidden in the foliage - way too fanciful for you, i know, but it's amazing what the lens can "see" sometimes...
Flick.
