This is a dream lens for any fan of the ultra-wide perspective and it is absolutely magnificent on any of Canon's full-frame digitals. It has the characteristic "L" color snap and has extremely high acutance across much of the frame. This is also a lens which pixel-peepers love to hate; at large apertures in the extreme corners it tends to softness and has mild Chromatic Abberation. This rare lens is so thoroughly bashed in reviews that relatively good used samples can sometimes be purchased at much less than half of its original price.
