BRIDGEPORT, CT - Just after 7pm on Sunday, December 5, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire on the corner of Olive and Norman streets on the city’s west side. As the bay doors opened up on the Wood Ave Firehouse (E-3, E-4), the firefighters witnessed the 3-story wood frame building heavily involved on the 1st floor. The fire rapidly took control of the six-family house that was under renovation, and consumed the remaining two floors above. Fire was showing from every window of every floor, and a quick and aggressive exterior attack spared an occupied exposure from sustaining any damage at all. There were no injuries reported and the fire is under investigation.
