Viewing Note: These shots look much nicer on a CRT based monitor than a LCD. Due to the nature of LCD technology they do not accurately produce the true dark blacks that many of these pictures have in them.
Sequoyah Caverns is a cave system in NE Alabama about 35 miles SW of Chattanooga, TN. It is also about 10-15 minutes NW of Desoto State Park near I59 near Valley Head, AL. If you are in the area it is very nice and not as busy as Ruby Falls Cavern. Truthfully it is much better than Ruby Falls unless you really want to see the falls. This cave system is larger and more spacious than Ruby Falls with much more room to move about.
These shots were all taken with a Fuji S7000Z in 6MP mode then processed with PS CS and Neat Image to clean them up a bit and adjust for the uneven flash in some shots.
Thanks for the pictures!! We went there last week but I ran out of digital space and only got 4 pics. This is a great place and it just looks like a regular hill from the outside. They even have a campground and 1.5 mile trail to hike. This is an awesome place and only 6 miles from Hwy 11 & I-59 south of Chattanooga. Also, it is not far from Little River Falls Canyon Hwy 35 east of Mentone and a beautiful curvy drive to Mouth Park. There is very little water now Oct 2007 (drought) so it is cool to walk on the rocks where the water normally flows rapid. Enjoy!!

Sequoyah Caverns are great!!!! We just toured the Cave of the Winds near Colorado Springs and it does not hold a candle to Sequoyah. S C has very rich formations compared to Cave of the Winds and for a much lower admission.
Thanks for reminding me how beautiful Sequoyah is.
