Magnolia Plantation

I'll start by saying this is one expensive place to visit! $14 just to get in, then $7 if you want the tram tour, $7 for the house tour then $7 for the boat tour and so one (get the point). Be warned there is NO PHOTOGRAPHY in the house at all, very disspointing! This plantation has very impressive grounds. The tram tour was interesting, but as it is mostly moving there is little chance for good pictures, but the scale of the property and the varilus wildlife you will see are very impressive. The Gardens are not bad, but is compsoed mostly of various trees, bushes and shubs, not many blooming or flowers, those not very colorful. Tram tour is 45 min, house tour is 30 min. There is a nice swamp wildlife area that weatehr did not permit me to see, but based on the tram tour I woudl have to say if you have time and are into bird wataching and such, this is a nice place. But did I mention it is expensive! All in all if you can find other area attractions to see I woudl save the money unless you are big time into this kind of thing. There are other area plantations that have more impressive houses, but less impressive grounds and are less expensive. Personally, while I don't regret going I would not recommend going here, Middleton Place is 3 miles away and while I did nto have time to go, it's house is more impressive.
