Before the reading there is usually some form of education for the young and old; this year the discussion was about the symbolism on the dollar bill. I was 'elected' (brothers and sister better be stepping to the plate sometime soon)to give a short dissertation on why B. Franklin thought the turkey was a better choice than the bald eagle to be used on the Great Seal. Kids thought it pretty cool, esp, since Dad let them keep the dollar :)
Food was outstanding as usual.
Fireworks were kind of a mixed bag. Edgartown Yacht club Landing. Very low fog bank hit almost right off, and while the fog was pretty cool all colorful it didn't make for any pics. The few that went early I didn't do as well as I had hoped.
