15-JAN-2006

Amaryllis backlit thru a clean window.

Too short a trip to the Vineyard; I don't know why but even 24 hours there seems to rejuvenate me.

Congrats to the Broncos for a well deserved win last night, and to the Steelers for almost making me have cardiac arrest. This is the best weekend of football, never fails.

This is superb, Leafy!

The two halves of the flower could be two people (lovers even) that could spring into life at any moment.

Proper job! V!

I'm impressed. I can never manage this kind of lighting. But this is beautiful and it works so well here.
Guest 16-Jan-2006 09:09
Not too dark to lose shadow detail, but you still kept the highlights. Great job on it, Karen.

Must be really clean this window. I think there is only the frame, the glass is still to come. Beautiful light on this.

Pretty cool to be able to marry a beautiful backlit amaryllis with a caption about playoff football :) Really well done, both the photo and the color commentary.

This is stunning Karen!! Love the backlighting thru a "clean window" - what's that?! Exquisite details, colors and comp! This is another Vineyard art show winner! Vote! ...I too was close to cardiac arrest thru the Steelers game! May need tranquilizers for next weekend's game!
