April 22

Almost embarrassed to post this but I worked too hard on it to throw away.
Began with some thoughts on the daily toils of women, and remembered Robin and Cliff (to name a few) had done masterpieces with multiple personalities, so here's my take. My front entry, an old time parlor, the furniture was moved a few days ago, so I merely moved a few pieces around the corner of the room for this. I BOTCHED the hair where visible, it looks like I need a shave reading the paper. The cats did jump up on me on what was the final shot, they fit so I let them stay. The pipe going up the wall on the far corner provides hot water to my old radiator system. Everything else is photoshopped :)

This is fantastic. And I waited until now to get a peek. Definitely voting. Should really be one for each time you appear but it won't let me do that.

Fantastic work! I'm amazed at the layering, like where the white sock covers the jean leg, and others. Fantastic work. Makes me feel like such a bum with my thing on Friday!

Really outstanding.

It is great you can be in so many places at one time. I like it.
snootydog23-Apr-2005 12:47
I know how hard these are to pull off and you did a great job, not just in PS skill but as others have pointed out, in representing the different facets of you. I trust this will be atop the leader board by daybreak. well done.

Just out of curiousity, did you use the pocket wizards to fire the camera remotely?
Guest 23-Apr-2005 10:25
wow you are so good at PS..I love this..I keep looking..vote...........

sschex23-Apr-2005 06:34
Good job, I wouldn't have the patience to do this.
Dan Chusid23-Apr-2005 05:19
I wouldn't even come close trying to do this. My ps skills are hack and trite, my attention span would waver and my cats would be gnawing at my legs driving me nuts during the process!
Gary Winters23-Apr-2005 04:48
Well, Karen, you've done it again! Wonderful, funny, well executed shot. I love all the different expressions (especially on the telephone), the fact that you changed clothes for each shot (people often forget to do that when creating something like this), and in general the setting itself. A masterpiece! And let me tell you, I know how much work this is. Good job! Great job!
Guest 23-Apr-2005 04:37
Oh this is such a fun shot, Karen. Thought from the thumbnail it was a family shot, but when I opened it up, they all looked so familiar, lol!!! I love what you have done here, so creative and different! :)
Pepe Zyman23-Apr-2005 04:27
OMG I can't believe how creative you are. You did a fantastic job. I can't stop looking at this picture! Vote, vote, vote, vote......................

Very nice, lots of work went into this.

The Karen on the stairs is a woman who wears many hats in her busy day to day life. It is Friday, it's been a heavy week and she wants some sleep. But her likenesses just wont slow down in her head to allow her this much needed rest. She has tried to reason with them but they are still working overtime, buzzing around, keeping her awake...'what am I going to do with you ? ' she thinks, wearing her frustration vividly....
And that's exactly as I see this wondercul comp, Karen....voting too.
Francisco Villegas23-Apr-2005 03:26
What a hard and creative work... just great.
Karen Leaf23-Apr-2005 03:04
Thanks guys. Just fixed and reposted cuz I saw a couple glaring errors. Took me about 1/2 to set the lights, small room and lots of ugly shadow. Took several shots in the different poses in case they overlapped too badly. The editing was a chore until about the last merge when I figured out the easiest way to do it-about 2 hours on PS. Breland, this is the paper from Sunday I haven't read yet :)
Coleen Perilloux Landry23-Apr-2005 02:58
Wonderful, wonderful. LOL at the one on the stairs--looks like a hangover.
Robin Reid23-Apr-2005 02:57
This wonderful and you have a big vote from me. Creative and well executed. I'm impressed!
Now a couple points: you are illustrating the many roles of a woman most days. Now I can't speak for Cliff, but I am the one with multiple personalties (a la the 7 faces of Eve) and my therapist told me (before she died out of frustration trying to help me) that M.P.D. is quite different from the wonderful people of th world like you and other woman of your ilk who do so many things, so well, every day.
I am inspired by your fabulous effort here.
Lori Rolfe23-Apr-2005 02:56
wow! and got my vote
Guest 23-Apr-2005 02:54
Heck of a job, voted.
Breland23-Apr-2005 02:52
You have captured the essence of a normal work day for most people. I just wish I had time to read the paper in the morning before work. Cool ps work, how long did you have to work on it?
Gayle P. Clement23-Apr-2005 02:44
Excellent! You did a great job of this. I love all of the different views of Karen.
