Dialing Four Dollars

Sometimes I just crack myself up. Now that I'm done laughing someone please help me with that flash splash that I hate. Tried to bounce the flash off the ceiling, too dark; tried the diffuser thing on the flash, didn't work either.

Thanks for checking your fellow ABC freaks. There's some great work out there!

Bounce the flash backwards off of a white umbrella, that may help soften the light and it's distribution. Cool shot

The sad part is I actually remember "dialing for dollars". It was a big housewife thing of the late sixtys, early seventies. As far as the flash problem, I would try a tripod set the white balance to incandescent and shoot without flash.

Lori, thanks, that's what I'll try next. And yes, the dollar idea was floating around in my head, but then found these dials we use at work, and it all came together. As for GW, I'll have some really good company in the pokey when they drag me away. A pun is the highest level of humor :\

If the diffuser thingee didn't work I would think the only other option would be to stay back a little further from the dial and try to zoom in more from a distance, maybe? Looks we were both thinking of money for D.... dollar day. At least you have 4 :-) Great image.... still a fun game too.

Is that the total of your wealth Karen !! Sorry I can't help with the flash do-hickey info, but you don't need help by the look of this. Indeed, there are some great soupers.

Use a pun, go to prison. It's the law.

This is a funny one, Karen. Where did your "dial" come from? It reminds me of a car's odometer.
