Gli gnocchi

Well, we don't do it very often, but once in a while we make homemade pasta. The real deal for two Piacentini like us would be "anolini", a kind of ravioli with the stuffing (ripieno) made from braised beef (stracotto). They are prepared in chicken broth and with a good dose of Parmesan cheese on top. Delicious..... But they are a real long production. It can take a couple of days to get all the things ready.. so we prepare them only for the holidays (if at all :-( ) . But gnocchi are a totally different story: simple and good they take maybe an hour to be prepared from scratch. Doriana does the main production, while I'm in charge of the sauce and the trimmings.. The last MTF challenge "Food" was a good excuse to get the production rolling ;-).. what a sacrifice!
