Piacenza: fino in Val Trebbia

This gallery is organized as a trip following the Trebbia river from Piacenza up to the higher portion of the valley. As we exit the city, the landscape changes quickly from flat fertile agricultural land, to gente hills, up to a more rugged and narrow valley in the upper portion of the journey.

I haven't had time to continue all the way up the valley, but for those interested, after the rugged part the valley opens up again, and after the small village of Ottone it becomes Liguria, descending gently down to the beatiful Ligurian sea

Ciao Gabriele, Hai ragione. Grazie per la correzione! Noi affittavamo una casa di campagna a Vergnano (non un paese, ma solamante il nome della localita;), alla fine di una strada sterrata che partiva da Momeliano(credo?), dalla parte opposta della valle rispetto a Rezzanello. Ricordo che alcune volte facevamo una lunga camminata da Vergnano fino a Rezzanello, e nella mia memoria di bambino era come una spedizione nel Rio Delle Amazzoni ;-) Grazie per avermi fatto ricordare! Bellissime foto, sicuramente, preciso però che quelle indicate come castello e chiesa di Monticello sono in realtà di Rezzanello, frazione a 2 Km. da Monticello. Cordialità.

Wonderful gallery. Every picture is beautiful - the subject, the composition, and the lighting. If I have to choose one, I probably choose Gelsi. The other thing that adds a lot to the Gallery is your commentary. I had a nice trip! Cheers Mattana
