I saw Vienna Teng again, this time at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley on June 21, 2003. She played a real grand piano instead of her keyboard, and the venue's terrific sound system let the piano and her voice weave ethereal threads of magic (did I really just type that?!). She sang 2 songs that were new to me ("My Medea" and "Mission Street") and consistently broke up the 250 strong crowd with extended entertaining stories between songs. Her next album comes out next year and I just can't wait! Opener Brenda Weiler also sounded great with her guitar.
