An incomplete gallery of postcards of motels, restaurants, municipal buildings, parks, and sights along what was Route 66. Some have been demolished, some are abandoned, and some are now something else. Some continue to survive and prosper.

Images are arranged roughly in the order that you would see them if driving Route 66. Some communities are particularly difficult to sequentially arrange due to the sheer number of facilities they had; Gallup NM and Winslow AZ come to mind. In those cases, I've tried to arrange them minimally as east or west side of town Even with Google Maps, I'm sure I've made some errors as to relative location.

Finally, some images are of facilities that are not directly on Route 66, but are in communities that were along Route 66.
