This organ originally was in First Presbyterian Church when it stood in downtown Buffalo at the site of the Main Place tower. It was built in 1860 by Buffalo organ builder Garret House and is in a very good state of preservation. The same builder relocated it to St. Stephen's in 1891. The case finishing and pipe stenciling was the work of a former pastor of St. Stephen's Church; the original finishing was imitation rosewood and the front pipes were gold leafed.
