Precinct 17 was the last precinct house to be built in the city. PCT.17 covered North Buffalo, North Park area. The precinct house was built as a "public safety" campus along the lines of Precinct 16, Precinct 9, and Precinct 15. Precinct 17's house was closed in the late 1990's with the emergence of the D District. The fomrer Police house is now home to the Buffalo Blue Bicycle Club, a not-for-profit communal bicycle group.
