Remembering walking to this school with my sister from St. Lawrence and picking up fellow students on the way. Back then we all walked to school. Then going to the Alco bar (candy store) on Delaware after school and getting the sponge candy without the chocolate on it...so good...just plain sponge candy! Late 70's

Went here from 1969 1971. Grade 5+6. I was a crossing guard in 6th grade. This was a great school. I remember locking my bicycle on the big fence. We also could go home for lunch. Can't do that anymore.

I went to this school from 1st to 5th grade which was 1986-1991. Does anyone remember Mr. Del Bello-the principal or Mr Gustino- the assistant principal?

This site is so awesome! The memories come flooding back. Remember getting shots in the school basement and playing ball after school. Parents didn't know where you were & didn't worry, as long as you were home for dinner. All the adults on your block were like your own parents. A simpler time, a closer, more friendly time. Do I sound nostalgic? You bet! Thanks for putting this wonderful site together.
