Up until I was 8 years old, my mom and dad and I would walk up there from our house on Holland Place. I remember seeing the musical "Showboat" there one cold evening in the winter of 1951. The place was jam packed with people. Lovely memories. And, yes, it looked like a real movie theater back then complete with a full marquee and a lighted vertical "Regent" sign.

Must have driven past this building 1000's of times and until looking at this photo never realized that it might have been a theatre once upon a time. It always looked more or less like it does in the photo.
