I remember Jay's Drugs from the 1960s and 1970s. My Dad, Charles Barone was the pharmacist and before that my grandfather, Anthony Barone ran the store. I sometimes worked at the store when I was a teenager in the 1970s before it closed down in the mid 1970s.

Remember this area very well. Lived on Gelston near Breckenridge behind the deli on the corner

I lived 1/2 a block down at 80 Dewitt. My parents owned G&I Superette on the corner of West and Lafayette. Remember the Scinta family from West and Auburn? Flynn's Superette? How about the Vienni Sue restaurant on Breckenridge & West? All make me smile.
