My father and uncle both worked here until it closed. We lived at the end smith st. Ocassionally my mother packed me a lunch to take to my father, and I would walk down to meet my dad at the grain elevators. Sometimes when the ships came in he was able to eat a fabulous lunch on board. He said they were the best lunches he had, besides mothers of course. My dad retired from General mills he was the last of the scoopers and he was weymaster.
