I was baptized at St Vincent's in 1932, sang in the Choir under Theresa Lynch with MSGR. Sharkey as pastor. My sisters were married there and my parents were buried from St. Vincent's. At first I was saddened when the Church and rectory were turned over to Canisius College in the late 1990's. However, it's exterior was cleaned, and the interior still has the original feel of the church as the new Montante Cultural Center of the college. You can still enjoy the marvelous interior masonry artwork, the gorgeous rose windows and the immense dome with it's very spiritual artwork. The alter has been retained in essence, though artfully adapted to serve as part of the stage. Well done, Canisius College and Fr. Cook , the President.
