My family were members of Acension from sometime in the mid 1800's until the death of my father in 1988. My father Robert Blaney and grandfather Joseph Lee Blaney were extremely active in the vestry and other church activities. Joseph's grandparents, David and Mary Patten were reputedly members of the church. My cousin was the fourth generation baptized at Ascension Church. Although no one in our family lives in Buffalo anymore I still feel a strong attachment to the church and was delighted to find it on your website. Thank you for preserving the pictures of all of these beautiful old churches. Sincerely, Maureen Blaney Pelter

To whom it may concern:
You have a vast number of photographs of churches and I appreciate your having including The Church of the Ascension in that photo list! I am a former parishioner of Church of the Ascension. I am 21 years of age and I live in Albany. I was baptized at Ascension in 1983 and received my First Communion there in 1988. Ascension is one of Buffalo's premier churches, not only is it magnificent in its architecture, it has stunning, priceless colorful stained glass windows inside! Though I live in Albany, I invite all interested persons to visit the Ascension church. Everyone is ALWAYS WELCOME! Their service is at 10:30 AM each Sunday.
Thank you for your work in this awesome project!
Sincerely,
Dennis Wisnom
