Ford 428

I'm having trouble with this one- I think it's a fake. Ford used this style fender badge from 1962 through 1964, on their 390's which were silver, and their 406's and 427's, which were gold. I don't recall a 428 in those years. I found this one on a cruise night on a 66 Mercury.

Where can I find these badges? Is there a company that specializes in making them? I can find 390 and 427 all day long. I need the 428.

Thanks

Not a fake but a modified reproduction. This same badge can be had with anything from 289 to 460 now. There is even an SOHC badge available.

I just stumbled upon your "Badges" website. Fond memories of most of them. RE: Your possible fake 428. A friend's dad bought a NEW 1966 Mercury Park Lane (top of the line)and it had a 410. Supposedly the biggest displacement available in a 66 Mercury. No badges on that "old man's" car.
