Matassa's Grocery, located at Dauphine and St. Philip, is one of the few remaining neighborhood grocery stores in the French Quarter. It is a fascinating place to visit, and shop. The Matassa family still owns and operates it, and they are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. It is also the home of Cosimo Matassa, of J & M Recording Studio fame.
