Buffalo's City Hall is one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture extant. Construction began in September 1929, and was completed in November 1931. It has 32 stories, and is 398 feet tall.
Jean; I remember Your Host restaurants very well. The other one you were thinking of was "Decco" Restaurants they were all over the city when I was a kid. The one thing I remember about Decco was their coffee and their peanut stick donut, they were great.

I have an old picture of City hall taken during construction. The building is totally wrapped in wooded scaffolding. Also have a few of the Central train station taken during it's construction
