:: The Beach at Rocky Point ::
There are two really odd things about the beach at Rocky Point. Morning air distorts like crazy objects on the horizon. The case in point is the island pictures. At various times of the day the island would look like it had a crown, sometimes looked like a pyramid and then would look like a box. Take a look at the first and second pictures. They are the same island. The second phenomenon is the tide change. Low tide can go out half a mile or more. It's just amazing how much beach gets uncovered at low tide. I was lucky on this trip as I got low tides at both sunset and sunrise and good photographs of both.
:: My Sisters and Brother In Law ::
These are two of my sisters and my brother in law who joined me at Rocky Point. The trip started at the 20th of October, my birthday, and lasted 7 days. Lots of time to do nothing. The Mayan has good food and a clean building and grounds. It's a nice place to relax and enjoy the time. We did!
:: Sunsets at Rocky Point ::
Sunsets on the Beach at Rocky Point by the Mayan Place. The tide goes out a long way as Rocky Point has some of them most radical tide changes in the world. The first sets of pictures are the setting sun. The middle part are some pictures at dusk. The last part are sunrise pictures take on the beach at a low tide.
:: Rocky Point October 2008 ::
Lynne, Mom and Renee came on this trip in early October. The weather was the last hot weather of the year and was around 100 Fahrenheit until the last full day of the trip. On Saturday the wind picked up and temperatures drop some. Renee had her espresso machine going and life was great.
:: Rocky Point 2009 ::
My trip to Rocky Point 2009 had lots of great Sunset pictures, as you will soon see.
