Denali National Park

This is my trip to Denali. I made the trip in late August when the tundra turns yellow and red. The mountains of Denali are awash in vibrant color as the season begins to change. Aug 29 we saw the first frost of the season. The mountains and color tell their own rich story. There are two mom Grizzly Bears and four cubs in this set of picture. Also, a Red Fox, (not the comedian) and one of the cutest animals I have seen just pranced around our bus. The mom Moose was a good foot and a half taller than most Horses I have seen and I really was that close to hear. There are caribou and many birds in Denali. The Tundra is hard to hike in; it's usually wet and marsh like. The northern part of Denali is sub-artic and unlike anything else I have been in. The little town of Talkeetna was the last Alaskan town I was in and we ate in two good restaurants there. The morning breakfast had two people from Mesa Arizona on the other side of the table and lived just a few miles from me, small world.
