6 gram Kinglet meets the Turning Torso Skyscraper

Sweden

nearly a dozen dead kinglets at the base of this 54 floor building. Probably flew into the building while it was still dark. Hopefully only a problem during the migration period. I have never heard of this happening before...

Poignant image of our influence on nature.
This happens around high buildings in Rotterdam too and even birds of prey fly into modern windmills and get killed. How that is possible I don't understand. Vote for the memorable capture.

We get lots of incidences of birds flying into windows that are acting like mirrors in certain light! A good shot of a sad reality!
