The Deliverance

The S.S. Deliverance was a 110' wooden dive tender which was rammed by the Norwegian steamer Regin at the entrance to Herring Cove in Halifax Harbour. The collision took place on June 15, 1917. There were no fatalities, but the ship and its contents were a complete loss. Today, the wreck rests upright, with the hull mostly buried in sand and the superstructure mostly gone in 120' of seawater. But, as you can tell from the photos.... it's still a great dive!!!
