2nd October 2006A quickish hike (3 hours) with some friends around Sai Kung country park in Hong Kong. Specifically from Sai Wan Ting to Pak Tam Au, which also provides you with the (tempting) Sharp Peak hike. The hike starts off with a gentle path around the high island reservoir and then to the first beach at Sai Wan. The a quick hop over a small hill we head to Ham Tin Wan and the infamous wooden bridge to the food store on the beach. It's then a pretty uneventful walk to Pak Tin Au (and to the bus back to Sai Kung town). Assuming you don't end up taking the 2 hour diversion to hike up and down Sharp Peak.
